"I went to the palace, and all I got was this lousy photo"! I had to take it through barbed wire. Having queued in an aggressive line to buy our ticket, we then queued for a security pat-down and were told we couldn't take phones or cameras into the palace. So we queued again for the phone lockers, only to be told we should have been queuing for the bag lockers, as we couldn't take bags in either. After that, we queued again for the security pat-down and eventually gained access to the palace! Since I couldn't take photos, you'll have to take my word that it was all worth it in the end. We saw paintings in the lobby that @binachitrakar 's father had painted for the royal family (signed Gyan), and there was a car given to Nepal's royals by Hitler. Bullet holes from the 2001 royal massacre were visible too. A fascinating visit, but you'll have to go there yourself to see it! #nocamerasallowed #nophonesallowed #Nepal #Kathmandu #RoyalFamily #NarayanhitiPalace #GiftFromHitler #Royals #RoyalMassacre #CrownJewels #PeacockWindow #BulletHoles #kitschdecor #jamesbondstyle (at Narayanhity Palace) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfJFf-_hjUv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
