Rest in Peace Nora Eloise Cahill Boedell
Nora loved all her children equally, but Cole was her baby, the last one. Born five years after the triplets, Nora spoiled him terribly. She gave him whatever he wanted, but in foresight, it didn’t seem to effect him negatively as one would have thought. She prided herself that Cole became a servant of the people, fighting for equality and what was right. Now as the youngest Mayor of Willow Creek, she could not have been more proud....
Then came along the grandchildren, first Cruz, then Marcos and Erin, Gunther and Kristopher, and the youngest Alana and Henry...all Boedell’s, but yet all having the characteristics of their strong grandmother. My wife, my confidant, my life, Nora Cahill Boedell...may she rest in peace.
SLOANE- “Can someone, PLEASE tell me what the hell just happened....And was that my mother’s ghost???
AKIRA- “Let’s all go relax, and have a drink. I can fill you in Sloane.”
NORA- “Saffie, your son did good...”
SAFFIE- “I know, mother, he is certainly his father’s son.”
NORA- “What do you mean his murderer, Savon’s death was an accident, Saffie.”
SAFFIE- “No mother, it wasn’t. I went to where it happened...The truth was there, I just need to listen to it now. I can’t grieve any longer, I need to find justice and it is there, where he died. I am going back home tomorrow. I have already called Journey and she is going to stay with me, and help me. I have to do this before the baby comes...”
Because Nora insisted, Saffie went to the doctor the next day, and sure enough she was ten weeks pregnant....
SAFFIE- “Mother...I have so much to learn. I don’t know the first thing about being a mother...I was just learning how to be a wife..”
NORA- “Being a wife is difficult at times, as is being a mother, but being a mother is more natural. You will be fine. You, Shay and Brylee, all are going to be mothers, and you will do just fine.”
SAFFIE- “I need to go back mother.”
NORA- “ Back where darling?”
SAFFIE- “Back to who I was before grandmother died...who I am now and who I was then. It’s all part of me, and I need that strength and that confidence back. I have less than nine months to find who I am, and who killed my husband before his son is born, and It must be done. Once the baby comes, I have to focus on him.”
OZ- “Your old room is just as you left it. Why don’t you go upstairs and lie down.”
SAFFIE- “I can’t, I just can’t..I will just dream of him there in the street, dying all alone...”
NORA- “Saffie, come over here and sit down...you need to be able to talk about it, You need to be angry and go through all the emotions.”
SAFFIE- “Mother, how did father do it when he lost his parents so young, how did you do it when granny died?”
NORA- “You went through it when granny died too sweetheart, remember. Loosing those you love is difficult. but you have to continue to press forward for your self and for your baby...”
SAFFIE- “Mother...please not now...I am not pregnant. You have to stop!!
NORA- “Saffie....we are witches. We know these things. Trust me, you are with child. We can call Dr. Richmond tomorrow and she can verify it...but you are, I feel the life force...very strong.”
NORA- “It’s your sister....”
SAFFIE- “What’s wrong with Shay??”
NORA- “She and Ezra Goth are to be married. A quiet affair at the courthouse, next Thursday.”
SAFFIE- “WOW!! That’s great, but Shay always wanted a big huge wedding with all the bridesmaids and the white dress....OH....”
NORA- “Yes, it seems your sister is expecting... Your father and I are going to be grandparents!!”
SAFFIE- “That is really unexpected!!”
NORA- “That’s not all.”
SAFFIE- “There is more?”
NORA- “Your brother and his new wife are also expecting!!”
SAFFIE- “HOLY Creator!! They didn’t waste any time, they just were married a couple months ago! So is that why you asked me if I was pregnant when you came in?”
NORA- “Yes...I guess I thought seeing how you three came at the same time, that your kids would all come at the same time too!!”
SAFFIE- “Well, sorry, but I am not pregnant. Savon still hasn’t found a steady job, and I haven’t sold any of my work...yet. I have an appointment to show my portfolio though...I am so excited! So, no time for babies right now!”
