Sisters Monroe character blurbs
Because I don’t feel like doing graphics at the moment and I need to knock these out.
Ross Callahan (FACE: Brett Dalton; AGE: 35)
Some people rise from their ashes; some people like to play with ‘em first. Ross is definitely in the latter category. Every possible cliché of hot, mysterious, and dangerous, Ross is damaged from things he’ll never speak of and determined to take every opportunity that finds him in this weird new world. Always a little too ambitious for his own good, he’s not totally sure what his plan is yet but it’s going to be amazing. Step one, attract a few followers, has already been accomplished. Step two, find a fitting partner... well, that one found him. Ross isn’t a man of high standards, but it’s rare that anyone can keep up with him both physically and mentally. Enter Lindsey Monroe, who shares his hot-and-dangerous vibe, his total disregard for all things proper and polite, and his tendency towards crazy...
Andrew Cook (FACE: Ricky Whittle; AGE: 31)
To say that Andrew isn’t in a good place right now would be a slight understatement. Everyone had to do things they’re not thrilled with in the immediate aftermath of the virus, he knows that, but most people didn’t have to cross the same lines he did. He’d had sole responsibility for his five-year-old niece ever since his sister went MIA, as she was so good at doing, but then Kaya got turned and... there weren’t any other options. Rather quiet to begin with, Andrew’s shut off most of his personality and turned into a shell of a person. He’d probably be dead by now if Xander hadn’t saved his ass, and if Ross is a part of that second chance then so be it. Being part of something is nice, but Andrew’s not sure how long he’s going to stick around. He had a dream the night after Kaya died about a beautiful woman in a white dress, and he’s convinced himself that she exists out there somewhere. Where, he’s not sure, but it’s what’s keeping him alive right now...
Alexander “Xander” Bailey (FACE: Sam Heughan; AGE: 34)
Xander is something of an anomaly. Big, enthusiastic, and the best at traditionally masculine things out of the trio, Xander is also very gay and very proud. He’s definitely the heart of the group, the one who calls Ross out on his crazy and keeps Andrew from getting too broody, and maybe it’s not an ideal scenario but he’s cool with it. Learning which of his extermination techniques work on zombies is quite the project, and it’s a nice male bonding activity... and then three become four and Xander rediscovers what migraines feel like. Lindsey’s cool, definitely, but keeping her and Andrew from murdering each other could be a full-time job. And by the time some decent eye candy comes Xander’s way, that’s the least of his problems...
Alyson “Ally” Mendez (FACE: Michelle Rodriguez, AGE: 34)
On the one hand, the current state of chaos has kept Ally from losing everything. She’s used to being ditched, and she was pretty sure Savannah was going to be the next in her series of ex-girlfriends who spontaneously found something better around the time their mutual acquaintances started making jokes about U-Hauls. Instead, they’ve become stronger than Ally knew she could be with someone, and the battle-couple dynamic they’ve got going makes the decade she spent managing a gun range seem totally worth it. She’s got her lady, and soon enough, they’ve got a few other people along for the ride. Ally’s not a pack animal by nature, and she’s still pretty tempted to shoot Nate, but the kid’s adorable and Joy’s kinda scary so those two are safe for now. Rob, on the other hand... the kid’s a fricking parasite, and for some reason he’s gotten really attached to her. Dammit...
Rob Wilson (doesn’t get face because he is THIRTEEN but I’m envisioning Tom Haverford: The Middle-School Years soooooo)
The end of the world is no place for a teenage boy, but Rob is probably part cockroach so maybe he doesn’t count. He was traveling with a loose collection of relatives, but then he sorta... lost them. How that happened, he’s not totally sure, but it did and he decides to take the opportunity for a little adventure. Thankfully, it’s only a few days before he finds new minders - first Joy Monroe, who reminds him a lot of one of his older sisters, and then Ally Mendez, who’s the same but also badass. Oh, and then there’s the Partial. Rob’s not sure how that works, but he really hopes Nate gets better soon ‘cause being the only guy in the group sucks. Ah well, at least everything else is awesome!
Marie Llewellyn (FACE: Emilie de Ravin; AGE: 28)
If one had to envision what kind of girl deals with her problems by setting them on fire, Marie is... probably not it. Petite and traditionally feminine, and a little spacey on occasion, Marie’s an absolute sweetheart even when she’s using her abilities. Arson isn’t a crime if you’re killing a dozen zombies in the process, right? She thought not. She’s just fine doing her wildfire series as a one-woman show, but she latches easily to Ross Callahan’s group once they find her. She develops a soft spot for Andrew, who understands a lot of her motivations, but she’s definitely not romantically into him - or anyone, ever. That’s just not the way Marie’s wiring works, and she’s cool with it. No time wasted on fluffy feelings means more time to get stuff done, and she’s got big plans on her mind...
