he’s coming to me is one of my favourite dramas, every time i rewatch it im blown away by how good it is. there are shows nearly twice the length that still drop the ball plot-wise, meanwhile the central mystery is balanced really well with the relationship development and all of the kids are so good and genuine and i love all of them but especially thun, a perfect boy who deserves the world. the final episode alone is just *chef kiss* 💋👌 wrt pacing and emotional/plot resolution

i’m sorry i just now saw this but hctm...top notch series right there. the superior bl. as much as i wished this was longer because i adore thun + mes i love how they so effortlessly combined the romance, mystery, humor, and angst in the short 8 episodes we were given. the friendship group in this show is one of my absolute favorites especially because WE GOT TWO COOL FEMALE CHARACTERS with a personality and a life outside the guys. obviously it wasn’t perfect hey. it’s better than what we usually get. they all went through so much development and Thun? Precious, kind, caring Thun? He deserves the absolute world just the tender way he looks at Mes makes me want to cry.

I just. Ugh. He’s Coming to Me is severely underrated and it frustrates me because Singto/Ohm + the rest of the cast deserve the recognition for this. They truly nailed all the angsty moments along with the fluff.

Anyways, it’s been a few days and I still don’t think I’m 100% over this show. I haven’t even processed the ending yet but I’m already gearing up for a rewatch because I know I probably missed a lot of things the first time.

Thun and Mes are just my favorite boys I will be over here screaming over how beautiful this show is for like a solid month because that’s how good it was

I know at this point it’s basically a meme for me to be like “[thing that absolutely isn’t a comedy] is a comedy”, but WOH is totally a comedy and an extremely gay one at that, in which an idiot supervillain decides he’s going to make problems on purpose but then gets distracted by his dick, and accidentally acquires a husband, a kid, the world’s hungriest mother-in-law, and the world’s stupidest son-in-law; but somewhere along the way, despite wasting most of his time trying to get his husband to fuck him, he still gets his much sought after revenge. It is COMEDY. GOLD.

Also the very first fight scene involves a cute girl with a whip so it basically has something for everyone.

What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom? Honestly this could apply to SO MANY fandoms but it’s gotta be the racism.

Unpopular opinion about XXX character? Category is Zhou Zishu so I was gOING to be like, “actually, the plastic man look isn’t THAT bad”, but we all know that’s a lie.

but ok, so I don’t know that this is necessarily so much unpopular as it is, ah, under explored? but ZZS is 100% as thirsty as WKX, he’s just less obvious about it. Buddy has been isolated for so long that once he thaws (which is like. by ep 6 at the latest), he becomes just as into their flirtation as WKX is. He wants to see where it’s gonna go just as badly! He’s just fucking useless at moving things along.

 i’ll be real im not 100% on the whole yin iron thing since it’s something they made up for the tv drama and wasn’t in the novel but wwx did have the sword on him the whole time - as he is falling into the burial mounds you see the space pouch on his belt light up and respond to the resentful energy. he just got separated from it when he landed

The sword is a fifth and previously unknown piece. WWX has had the sword in his posession since - it was “awakened” when jiaojiao cut him up and his blood dripped into the pouch.      

Ah, ok, that makes a lot of sense. I wondered as well during that scene when his blood dripped into the pouch and it started glowing if it was supposed to indicate that the sword was in there and was reacting to WWX’s blood but I wasnt 100% sure since it was never shown what he did with the sword post cave rescue. And then when he fell it seemed to me like the sword was just there suddenly out of nowhere so it left me confused.

But it explains why the resentful energy reached out to WWX as he was falling and why it kept calling him to the sword when he woke up as if it had chosen him for some reason. Nice. I’m really digging the world-building around the resentful energy concept and the Yin metal. I wish we were shown more of what WWX was doing during the three months in Burial Mounds and how he came up with the idea of the seal and how he got Chenqing, etc. It’s fascinating.
