THEY DON'T NEED to be in the bed together. There's no practical reason. It's not like last time, when Cad needed to share body heat with someone or else he'd die. The heater is working just fine at keeping them both a respectable level of toasty and warm. They're sharing the bed for other reasons neither of them dare address lest they go a bit insane.
CAD WATCHES HIM move, and his brows furrow deeper the further from him he gets. Notebook and pencil are taken from where he tucked them on a nightstand, and he hastily scribbles before getting up, braving the cold floor with his bare feet, and whapping Isaiah on the shoulder with said book to get his attention while he's putting his boots on before showing it to him.
