on this fine morrow I am thinking about Arthur "The Second Son" "Sunny" Frost and how he's never felt that he had the power to significantly change anything. he could help his family pull off a job but the money would run out. he could argue with Charlie's reckless decisions but his brother always got the final say. he would push back against the self-destructive choices of people he cares about only to see them do it anyway. and really, it would have been easier to stop caring altogether, but instead he settled for only caring about what he can affect. he can minimize the damage. he can't make anyone safe but he can make some people a little safer. he can hold onto what's his and keep it out of the light so that no one notices and tries to take it away from him. he can keep his head down. work quietly. try to make it so that even if the world crumbles tomorrow, his corner of it lasts as long as possible
