               thank you so much! ;; honestly, one of my favorite things about bede is how flawed and unconventional he really is? he isn’t a perfect person, he makes mistakes — he does things he regrets terribly.      ( things he oftentimes wants and tries to atone for. ) i love how his peak character development specifically avoids have him losing his smugness or his edge and becoming completely passive and friendly. he eventually finds himself in a better place and grows into a better person, but he never stops being bede. and i can’t help but find that message really inspiring — that you can have a lot of pride in yourself and confidence in your abilities, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing.

               i just think he’s neat, and i have so much fun exploring how complex he is.

oh no. they’ve been caught.

there’s truly no way to disguise it having stopped their light coo-ing and chirping at the eevee in their arms the moment rosa had spoken. they assumed the stadium would be empty today, with most gym challengers having already moved past the sleepy town of wedgehurst and the first badge it granted successful trainers, or else they had already realized they were in over their heads and withdrawn. but it seems the place isn’t quite deserted yet- and now they have to content with the fact that they’ve been caught acting foolishly.

a glance to the pokeballs on her belt, and avry’s cheek’s go pink. oh arceus, please don’t let this be a gym challenger. they would never be able to live that down on the battlefield.

“i- no, i was- it was just-” there’s no excuse they can make. so they sign, holding the pokemon ( who coos back in a similar intonation as avry, earning an affectionate pat on the head ) closer before responding. “i’m avry, the gym leader here. what can i do for you?”

    “Cute...” Rosa giggles at the frantic, distraught expression on the Wedgehurst gym leader’s face. It’s clear they think they’ve been caught doing something embarrassing when, in reality, it’s something completely normal for a loving trainer to do. It’s just surprising how skilled they are at making those Eevee noises though.

    “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Avry. I’m Rosa, a trainer from Unova. My best friend and I just got to Galar today... Wedgehurst Station, actually. We heard some cool things about gym battles from some of the other passengers on the train so we thought we’d check it out. It appears that we’re too late, though.” She motions to the echoing empty stadium around them.

bit late but!! i followed you because i'm a filthy raihan stan and your portrayal of him is quite loveable. i truly, deeply always am a sucker for a character who finds themself to be an eternal big brother figure! very very excited to be following you and see all the rad stuff you do with him!

what brings you to this neck of the woods? (haha get it cause my fc is n and he’s a tree)

i hope you will be pleased with what’s to come ;__; i am still working constantly on ideas for things and fleshing out different bits and pieces of his character and there’s even still stuff that ISN’T wip that i haven’t shown off on tumblr yet, and some not even on discord. i like to cook big ol meals, plenty of side dishes… 

the mystery portion of the 182 plot has all but wrapped up in the sense that i will now gradually start revealing plainly what happened, but it’s long from over, especially when you consider that raihan still hasn’t opened or even considered opening the vault in his heart to anyone other than leon of dandexleon, piers of obstatune, and bede of rivalbede. three people. he has… a long way to go……..

we don't know each other AT ALL but i do truly admire you and the way you write nanu. followed because i love a grumpy man, continue to follow because you are extraordinary with him and your attention to detail, in writing him in all his complexities and intricacies, truly does shine through in your replies and its so so so enjoyable!! i love to read what you post!

// aw shucks, you’re gonna make me blush dahusdgakda, me writing nanu has become pretty much instinct for me but I still have a lot to explore with this character (despite having him since like the end of 2016). now if i could sit down and write more I would be happy, but seriously! messages like these definitely make me want to keep going, so thank you very much for sticking with me!
