Kestrel at twilight, the sky as the sun set looking towards the Needles on the Isle of Wight and teasel seed heads in the winter sun at the Normandy marsh and Pennington sections of Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve 03/01/2026.
It was moving as ever to watch a flock of Brent Geese fly over as the gigantic super wolf moon beamed light across a flooded field. Other highlights as my great start to the year for birds continued on this blissful crisp and sunny winter day in nature were Spotted Redshank, Slavonian Grebe, Spoonbill, Ringed Plover, Rook, groundsel and gorse.
