After signing up for an AAI trip on Rainier, I think it finally sank in how much of a challenge I was up for. So I did the rational thing and... ... signed onto another mountaineering expedition on Mt Hood through the Climb for Clean Air program. Maybe you could say I was crazy, but the truth is, I was desperate for growth. There’s nothing more powerful than a pure desire to succeed. In doing so, I rediscovered my strong tenacity, but also a risky ability to “overclock” my body, which later proved nearly disastrous on Mt Adams. Either way, I made tremendous personal growth and many friends in mountaineering. Here you can see me hauling several gallons of water in my pack while weight training on Mt Si. #mtsi #northbend #optoutside #pnw #pnwcollective #pnwhiker #mountaineering #mountaineer #washingtonhikersandclimbers #climbforcleanair #adventuretime #adventerous #fitnessmotivation #passion #mountains #snohomish #wanderlust (at Mount Si) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLZ0sH3DYdB/?igshid=yn723zy3efvt
