Hey! Just wanted to say I really like your Tumblr header and how it blends in so nicely, how did you end up coming up with it? And how do you think I could achieve the same thing like the blending aesthetic?

hey, thank you so much! 💖 i’m going to explain my mobile theme header, if you meant my desktop theme header please let me know, i wasn’t sure! 

i didn’t really have the plan before i got the footage. i was recording footage for gifs of journey, and i first posted it as a gifset here. I then realized the pink sand was actually a pretty nice solid color at the bottom, making it easy to blend into the rest of a mobile theme: by getting the color code of that sand in photoshop and making my mobile theme the same color. so it was mostly achieved by my footage that happened to work really well for it! 

if you’re looking to do something similar, just make sure that the bottom edge of the header photo/gif is the same color as your theme color. if your header doesn’t have that perfect solid color at the bottom edge you can always add something like a gradient (from theme color to transparent) over it, to blend it in nicely. hope that helps! and i hope it’s what you meant lmao! feel free to ask if there’s something else!
