They thought locking her away would teach her to
behave; they thought it would teach her a lesson.
Much to their dismay, upon her return, she was no
better -- if not a bit worse.
This castle was no home; the ruined fortress she'd
lived in for a better part of her life was more of a home
than this. She loathed her mother & the man who
continually boasted that he saved her. No, it was he
that kidnapped her, took her away from what her true
home was.
The fiery princess has tried many a time to run away,
to go back to her dragon and her ruined castle, but
they find her every time and she's forced to return
home to the scorn of her mother and the disgust of
the court. Today she finds herself wandering her
prison; getting better acquainted with the hell she is
forced to live in.
Oh, but the fresh air does give her a tiny bit of solace
( although the lack of soot, ash & fire in the air make it
hard to be considered such ). She is given only but a
minute before called back to do her duty as a princess,
and sit beside her mother and that damned prince and
watch the court.
