10.26 2017 Hildur Bjarndottir opened her solo exhibition “Cohabitation” at Trondelag Center for Contemporary Art in Trondheim. Haven’t seen her in close to a decade since her last solo exhibition in Portland at Pulliam Deffenbaugh some years ago. PDX folks will recall her work - and you may have encountered her piece Frippery from 2005 shown in New Embroidery: Not Your Grandma’s Doily (2006) and in Unpacking the Collection: Selections from the Museum of Contemporary Craft (2008) (gifted to Museum by Maryanne Deffenbaugh).
