There's no way they would mean Cullen."

✘ Alistair and Marian
Send ✘ for a ‘the morning after’ starter with our muses!
She couldn’t remember the last time she woke up this warm and comfortable, nor this content. Even with the sun ray right in her eyes at that moment, turning the quiet dark of her dreams into a stark awareness of daylight, she felt out of time and back in Highever, waking up without a thousand worries or dilemmas to face within the next hour. As Marian became more aware of her body as she woke, she could feel a distinct weight across her hip and the warmth of a hand splayed across her scarred stomach, and that was when bliss left and realization hit of just what had happened that night.
She didn’t know what to do, to stay in bed or try to slip out from under the sheets and back to her own room. In truth, Marian was frightened of confronting what had happened. It was not unwanted, in fact the distinct opposite, but Alistair had always been… off-limits. Put too high on a pedestal in her mind for her to be worthy of his care outside of platonic friendship. She almost wished in that moment to be black out drunk when the night’s events had happened as to forget how he had held and touched her and she with him.
A shift from him and her body froze, breath held, as she waited to see if he was awake. “Ali?” Marian uttered a gentle whisper as she turned onto her back to see if he was awake or asleep.
