Nads6969 Victim 13 - Nijikaze-KrisP
Luckily in the case of Nijikaze-KrisP, this artist was more proactive and dare I say adamant about her rights in the face of Ms. Stepputat’s constant backpedaling, denials, and flat-out lies. She even created a Sta.sh to document their encounter.
It started with this beautiful sketch here:

And lo and behold, this appeared:

For the record, here’s the overlay for the initial sketch and the first trace:

Now check out this conversation here, where Nijikaze-KrisP came forward in a conversation about Ms. Stepputat, mentioning that she’d been a victim of her theft.

In this conversation, Ms. Stepputat has the audacity to ask for proof that she even touched Nijikaze-KrisP’s artwork.

Nijikaze-KrisP wrote a journal about the encounter as well:

Those snips above are only a fraction of the proof she produced. Sorry, Ms. Stepputat, you can’t gaslight someone who’s prepared for your “clever” attempts to avoid accusation. And running to another art/photo-hosting site with stuff you were directly told to take down doesn’t help you.
Nijikaze-KrisP even included a snip of the DMCA notices she filed against Ms. Stepputat on Photobucket, as Ms. Stepputat had fled there to post her traces of the above works.

Wow. It’s a sad day when Photobucket is more helpful in helping its users stand up to art thieves than Deviantart is.
