This week @csecooney reminded me of my love for Trixie Belden. When I was a kid, it seemed like everyone was either into Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys. I went straight from Cam Jensen to Trixie Belden and read every single one. I got most of them at the library, but whatever few battered copies I had were lost to the sands of time (parental garage sales). Every once in a while, though, I find a nice vintage copy and can’t resist picking one up. I’ve tried to get my kids to read these but failed so far. I should attempt a reread, but I’m afraid they won’t hold up. . Have you ever read Trixie?
