Jinora was a very caring person. There wasn’t much she truly didn’t care about. She acted apathetic about many things: boys, probending, following the rules…But she still cared a little at least, one way or another. One thing that had lately become an issue was her appearance. On the outside (personality wise) Jinora acted as though it didn’t matter. She wore the traditional robes she was supposed to wear as an Air Nomad. Thankfully she was out of those awful (she didn’t realize they were awful until she got older and got out of them) training clothes. But she had earned her tattoos and earned her right to wear the robes instead (thankfully).
But in order to get her tattoos, they’d had to shave her hair off, all of it. There had been talk of just shaving down the middle for the arrow but Jinora knew that would be awkward. And just shaving the front part off wouldn’t get it all done. She didn’t want it done in bits with bits of her hair there and bits not. So they had to shave it all off.
