Lmfaooo how Shoto let himself get jumped by a five year old
I was reading a manhwa and it had an interesting bit of dialogue:
Roman Gray:
"...a nations strength is built upon its people, and I believe that opening the doors of learning based on ability not just birth, is the path forward for the future.... The opposing side argued...to preserve order and that distributing it indiscriminately could lead to chaos expression their concern."
Evelyn Winter:
"...it's clearly the reasoning of cowards who are shaking at the idea of losing their remaining power, even if that power is only in name...
If someone's "power" disappears the moment everyone gets an equal chance to speak...Then they should admit it was never theirs to begin with, right?"
Roman Gray:
"...you are cutting down the logic of cowards who justify oppression out of fear of change..."
Even thought the main context of their dialogue was about the academy Roman was attending.
I edited down what was also essential this and talking about the weather. I felt like this topic kind of resonated to me about what is going on in our world now.
Factions lashing out and using oppression, because they don't want to lose power and fear change is what all this boils down to.

i’ve consumed multiple types of hockey media in the past month (heated rivalry show and the book bear town) and now i’ve convinced myself that i should play but i don’t have time for that right nowwww
anyone have any ideas (without joining a league) (i might just start watching hockey)
I keep trying to remind myself we can only go forward, not backwards.
That I can’t go back to a place where we had a relationship and he would talk to me.
We can only move forward. And if he decides to ever talk to me again, it is because we are moving forward and our paths happen to cross at a future point.
Because life is all about going forward...
Don't cry because of one person. Remember, there are still 6,790,062,216 people to smile to. Never let one person bring your whole world down. Yes it is true that at times people who we thought might never let us down, end up doing so, and sometimes those who we thought will love us and be there for us forever suddenly leave our lives. While it is natural to grieve, never waste too much time dwelling on a past or person that you can't change. In life we have to be willing to move on. If something happens to the point where we believe in our hearts nothing that nothing may be done to fix then we must move on. We must NOT be willing to sacrifice our potential future for a situation or person that if dwelled upon will only lead to more pain and agony in our lives. It is important to be there and be loyal to those who are around you, but we must also remember not to surround ourselves with people or situations that will bring us backwards in life, because life is all about going forward ~J Johnson
I have a lot of fave episodes, but the episode that really got me pumped was The Way to Eden. I know it's not really popular, but it was so blatantly a commentary on the hippies and how they were seen. Like, my mind was on overdrive when I was watching it thinking about the cultural significance of the episode.
star trek threw some hard shade at society in general way more than anyone realizes i think
it seems kinda cheesy now but back then it was making a difference
