I love your classpect analysis so much, you're my favorite blog to go to when I want to read classpect meta or get a bearing on a character I'm trying to create. I use this blog like an archive for my own research; If I'm unsure of something, I consult your tags! A lot of your meta is exactly how I think about the classes/aspects but made understandable and put much more eloquently than I could ever manage lol. Reading your blog helps clarify things, especially since you reference actual in-story examples to use as, well, examples. (I'm a very literal person so I do best with seeing concrete examples 😅) It's like peeling back the layer of the characters and story to reveal the inner workings beneath, which is so cool! I have several questions on certain classpects that I could use your help on, and I actually have some thoughts on your classes of opposition theory too (but it's a lot so I won't just dump it all here) and would be stoked if we could talk about it sometime! What I'm trying to say though is that even if you don't answer any of my questions/asks, or have moved on from this blog, I am still grateful that you created it and shared all your thoughts on the classpect system- your blog is incredibly fun to read and I have enjoyed myself immensely by just combing through it.
I didn't have a gif that could properly portray how excited I am to hear this, so please have a Rose! It absolutely brings me joy to know that folks are interested in my perspective, and y'all bear with me through feast and famine alike! (I'm autistic, to no one's surprise, so my special interests will come and go like tides in terms of intensity and focus.) While I can't offer any guarantees that I'll be able to keep up with Classpect conversations in the short-term, I'm always interested to hear what people think about my theories, so feel free to drop a DM anytime! Time is sort of...non-linear when it comes to my energy levels as well, so if it takes a while for me to respond, I promise it's not personal!
Thank you so much, again, for sharing some love! I really, really appreciate such positive feedback. Words can't do it justice, so feel free to picture the coolest transmasc you can imagine just grinning like a maniac at his computer, tenting his fingers like a cartoon villain and generally vibrating like a small dog on the way to the park.

New Classpect: Sylph of Time
How long will it last? Who knows? Who cares! What does this mean? Probably nothing right now, but if we’re very lucky, it means I’ll do a post about the Sylph of Time soon.
I am creating a functional magical system using the Aspects and Classes of Homestuck and nobody can stop me. There will be ritual, there will be spellwork, there will be intricate and unique ways to understand and empower the self, and I’m doing this because I’ve gone off-the-rails bonkers and I can’t imagine using my precious time for anything else.
Here’s an example of what I mean: let’s say you’re at the center of a group or organization that’s embroiled in personal shit, or distracted and stressed—whatever it is, you need this project to move forward now. Perhaps you choose to channel the archetype of the Knight of Blood, someone who can successfully bring everyone together despite disparate goals by exploiting the connections you personally have with them. Well, how do you do that? It’s simple: you put together a ritual. Think of it like any invocation ritual, except in this case, you would first surround yourself with the symbols of Blood. This could involve donning the red and brown colors of the Aspect, meditation and breathing exercises that bring you closer to the element of Earth, and perhaps a visualization of heavy iron shackles binding you to the center of the planet, as well as your group. Then, you may invoke the archetype of the Knight, one who is able to make great use of very little material, who serves others and guards themselves closely. You might finish by connecting the two parts to create a distinct whole: the Knight of Blood, the role you wish to play in the circumstance I described.
Now, let’s be transparent: I’m doing this because the Classpect system is a huge special interest of mine. I also consider myself a fledgeling Chaos Magician. The stories, symbols and archetypes which are most meaningful to us personally are often the ones which carry the most weight in magical workings, provided there is some logic and consistency in their use. If this sort of thing interests you, I can’t recommend enough that you read Phil Hine’s Condensed Chaos. I certainly don’t agree with everything he says, but this foundation of magical understanding allows for a lot of creativity and the ability to make your magical practice more meaningful.
what types of request do you take?
This is a great question! I’m trying to split my time nowadays between meta-analysis of the narrative and its use in my developing magical system, and old-school Classpect analysis like “What would the Rogue of Time be like?” or “How would a Mage of Breath be important to their session?”
I go pretty in-depth with my analysis, so I prefer to do one Classpect at a time. I’m not as practiced with other parts of a session (what planet someone might have, what weapons they could use) and this will only come up if an idea hits when I’m doing a regular analysis. I’m absolute bunk at Quadrants as well.
If you want to know more about the magic and ritual system I’m building, feel free to ask about that! The basic rundown is this: while some real-world magic focuses on the four classical elements, or planetary affinities, my system draws primarily from Phil Hine’s teachings of Chaos Magic, as well as the influence of Peter J. Carroll. Therefore, I use the Aspects as a focus for magical work: invoking the Aspect of Blood to encourage networking opportunities in my life, for example, or drawing on Mind to see multiple sides and possible solutions to a very polarizing issue. Rituals involve mental and physical representations of the Aspects, as well as colors and other sensory associations, which the comic provides for us in spades. The Classes further offer archetypes to embody for even more specific effects. I might invoke the Maid of Breath in order to free myself from suffocating promises I’ve made to others at my own expense, or the Bard of Hope to subtly push others out of complacency over a devastating blow to human rights, for example. Hope this helps!
