Just as an explanation for the "drama causing anon" (most likely acrossdimension) for american politics at least:
Long story short: the current Democrat Administration has been directly involved in genocide and war crimes in Palestine (and surrounding counties )for at least the last year, refusing to comply with international law by withholding weapons being used for war crimes and instead spending over 17 billion us dollars on military aid to a country currently committing genocide.
There has been multiple massive protests across the country to try to sway the administration to stop sending weapons for war crimes and genocide, and the politicians in power have only doubled down on their commitment to 'protecting' the country that is commiting genocide and stealing land in an illegal occupation by the UN's own ruling,
A ruling which is unenforceable because the USA, corruptly, has the power to singlehandedly veto any UN measures it doesn't like, even if every other UN country in the world votes to pass it.
The social movement that anon was referencing in the "Rjalker told people not to vote for kamala" was a movement led by Palestinian Americans to vote for a third -party candidate in protest of the administration's support of genocide.
Even with that movement, most people still voted for the current administration to be re-elected (Kamala Harris is currently Vice President and was running for President) and voted against Trump, but Trump still won because some 52% of the country voted for him, not because 0.1% of people voted for the green party instead of the blue party.
