Since I find you a non-intimidating author I'd like to ask what your writing process is like. I want to write but linear writing makes me bored so I wonder if you do linear writing and how you deal with it or if you have another writing process?
"non intimidating" thanks ππ€
Well, first of all, I've never written anything linear in my life. π I just don't have the patience for "beginnings" so what I do is write first all the defining moments for which I am most eager to bring them to life (that way I write with calm, focus, and inspiration).
After that part is done, I write the "bridges." The bridges are what I call the moments that lead to the great events that are already written. And it makes me excited to write them since I can add even more stuff and I don't feel "in a rush" to finish this soon and jump to my favorite part.
There is no "right" way to plan your writing. Choose the method and pace that you feel comfortable with, and that doesn't make you get "stuck" at a point where you want to write but feel bored because you have to go through certain points first.
I'm no expert on writing, but my advice is this: Write when you are motivated and comfortable with your "action plan" no matter how "messy" or "disorganized" it is.
