Do you think fandoms sucks for nuanced and dark media like Limbus Company?
No. Actually, I think itās the opposite.
āFandomā literally just refers to a community of fans. Thatās it, there is no innate underlying implication there. A fandom can exist without shipping, without ridiculous discourse, without fanfiction, without whatever you deem makes a fandom āsuck.ā So long as there is a number of fans that are in frequent communication with one another, itās a fandom.
That said, a media may sometimes be only truly appreciated to its total extent with the help of a fandom because of how dark and complex it is. Fandoms are for interpreting and appreciating a media. The more complex the media, the more room for analysis, the more favorable a fandom can be in my opinion.
Disclaimer: I donāt know what the limbus company is. Before now, I thought it was some YA dark fantasy book series. A quick google search is making it very clear that it is Not that. So if the limbus company fandom sucks and doesnāt apply here, then thems the breaks, kid.
