Thanks for the fast answer, after finishing your story I'm even more happy to hear that it's not abonded. But I'm a bit curiuos did you plan to keep Rouge around from the beginning, because it sounded like she died in the summary or was that just a misinterpretation from me? And I'm really excited about what they plan to do about Garp, in the planning season it wasn't really metioned beside that he was going to be there soon. Therefore I'm hoping that you get your needed information soon from Oda.
Yeah, I try to answer fast but sometimes other things come up like general life things, work, beta-ing for Umei, sleep and food. Also cooking, as Izzy needs food sometimes.
As if Izzy puts off answering things for too long, Izzy is likely to forget and it’ll languish in inbox indefinitely. It’s only happened twice so far on tumblr, so that’s good? This inbox is a lot better maintained than my e-mail inbox… ehehehe…
I really hope I get some more hints about the working of the OP world too; I mean the Reverie aka meeting of all the countries part of the World Government is due to happen soon and that means world-wide politics, which would dictate national politics and thus influence local politics and the populace there of. Plus various political systems at work, from dictators to kings and tyrants.
I mean there’s already examples of WG dictating policy elsewhere see: South Blue’s genocide of children and their mothers on the possibility of them being Roger’s child? Yeah, lots of power, little accountability from the common populace and so on due to dispersed, untrained and under-educated populace. Further example would be the massacre of Law’s home island due to the amber-lead syndrome as a government order. Furthermore there’s examples of military policy dictating civilian policy, to various degrees such as immunity to various laws aka Shichibukai. Any act of piracy/crime by the Shichibukai is government sanctioned. The Shichibukai are supposed to tithe part of the loot to the WG but a pirate give up treasure? When they’ve already got immunity to laws? Like tax laws? Bwahahahah! Also why the marines didn’t investigate Baroque Workds too much even though it was an organization of note within the Grand Line; even if Crocodile’s subordinates were committing a crime, it was on his order, so immunity. It is why Crocodile had to first be stripped of being a Shichibukai title, before sentenced and tossed into Impel Down.
So yes, I’ve got a few hints on what’s already established, but nothing on how things are supposed to work in theory vs how things actually work, the history of the WG and how the Tenryuubito remain in power, to the extent that they can call an admiral down on a whim. Doflamingo’s implied to know something so that he can force the WG’s highest to obey him to a degree.
The Gremma 66 being considered a nation is interesting in that regard as it lacks land and everything but human resources, as it’s still got a voice at the Reverie until knowledge of an alliance between because it’s powerful and has a reputation. When the Gremma 66 Big Mom and the WG is official and confirmed aka Sanji’s wedding happens. This also implies that the Yonkous could be considered enemy alliances nearly on the level of the WG. If nothing else, look at the War of the Best and while it wasn’t everyone the marines could bring to bear, it certainly had the best in the military that could be spared, could arrive on time and so on. Which says that unless serious aggravation happens the WG is in a cold war with all of the Yonkous, and the Yonkous with everyone else resulting in a stalemate of power.
Of course power has to be kept and maintained, so the Yonkou have various ruling styles. Whitebeard adopted everyone he thought could work with his people; those that couldn’t and wouldn’t were either kicked out or killed, as implied by the fact that it wasn’t seen as out of the ordinary for a Whitebeard Division leader to hunt down a traitor. Kaido seems to rule more with brute strength and fear, but he’s certainly cunning about it if only because of the deal we know about with Doflamingo. Big Mom seems to be abusing marriage as a way to create a dynasty, although I’m not sure how those are all her children but I suspect we’ll find out. Shanks is likely going to be a wildcard as a ruling Yonkou, if only because he’s the man that’s actually friends with Mihawk.
So anyway, that’s a long ramble about what’s known and what can be speculated so far based on what little we got. Izzy can do a lot more with actual information, instead of mere speculations. In regards to story, things shall not be spoiled, as a good story answers most questions in time.
