The abyss did not feel like a abyss. I thought an abyss was supposed to be, dark, empty, open, sort of like space. But not YELLOW! that’s such a bright colour to choose for an abyss, bc no matter how dark you make yellow to be it is still a very Bright colour. It’s such a contrast to the upside down which is cold, dark, dead, red, dark blue and it probably smells. This abyss you made is where your monster are supposed to be from, they felt out of place there and seemed to fit the upside down more. I still can’t think why they choose yellow, out of all the colours they picked the least scariest.
