Stitchtober 2020- Day 1

We’re doing something a little different for the month of October. We saw two different Stitchtober prompts for this month, and went with the one that made the good brain wiggles. 

We will be creating a small pattern every day and then releasing them all at once at the end of the month.

More Needley Minders?

Hey void! We’ll have patterns up later today, but we have also been busy creating designs for more needle minders, since we’d like to bundle shipping when we place the order for the big D20′s. (SOON) We came up with a really fun cross stitch one that will be all secrets for now. While working on that one the thought of doing an entire series of crafty sub-type minders came to mind, but we’re not sure if folks would be interested in crossing the streams that much? Would y’all enjoy repping a different craft on the one you’re currently working on? As an example here’s the prelim design:

We like puns.  We are anticipating making some of the minimum order for both the cross stitch and this hypothetical minder into pins, if possible, but we’re not ready to step into the pin market fully. At the moment we’re still mostly interested in cross stitch accessories, so we need to gauge the interest for the design as magnetic needle minder. So, give us your honest opinions and let us know! We won’t trash the design if it’s a meh response, we’ll just table it for a future date when we are ready to release them as just pins.

A neat collaboration

Do y’all like needle minders? Fry does, and Prism has recently been converted after DIM’ing one. Are y’all huge nerds? We sure as shit are. Seems like there would be a fairly large overlap in that venn diagram. 

So we got to talking with our friend @ayajustdoodles who has recently been putting her graphic skills towards designing some real fun enamel pins. Her next product line is actually still in kickstarter mode (as of 1/19) if you want to take a look and nab yourself a feminine take on Legend of Zelda. If you catch this post late don’t worry, they’ll be moving over to her etsy afterwards.  Where does all this take us? To something like this, hanging out with us on future projects: 

This is all still in a grey conceptual phase for us, but it’s a design that we both love and fits in well with her current creations so we can split the cost of production. We decided to bring it up and create a post to help gauge interest on whether or not it’s a viable idea and to see if y’all are as excited about it as we are!
