While it was a rarity for him to do so, Tomoe did immerse himself in human life once and a while. Back home he stuck to the shrine unless Nanami required him to go to town for some important task, but since coming to Tancho it's been proven pointless to try and avoid the humans simply because they were everywhere, even sharing a dorm with him. So he's succumbed to the sudden influx and here he was today, off campus and in the city.
He found himself entering a quaint little cafe that sold nothing but asian foods and, surprisingly enough, offered a strange blend of sake and the customer's choice of tea with a promise from the cafe owner himself that it would be 'perfect'. Tomoe wouldn't lie; it was perfect, and he showed his appreciation by purchasing a large bottle of sake with white tea (and how he'd get these past school officers, we'll never know-) along with a basket full of bamboo rice cakes, his favorite treat.
Now back at campus, Tomoe sat comfortably under a tree enjoying his drink and a few cakes. The sun was out and the shade from the tree was just about right; if Tomoe was a bakeneko he would have been purring, but merely being a kitsune, he was content with flattening his ears against his head and smiling.
After a while of eating quietly, the fox set his bottle of sake beside him on the grass and shifted in his seat, suddenly feeling really...off. He wasn't drunk, he knew that for sure, but something smelled really...
...Nice??? That couldn't possibly be the word he was looking for. It smelled like a human and a youkai, and...something else. He stared blankly up at the sky in thought, not knowing if the sake blend was somehow getting to him or if somebody really did smell that enticing pleasant. Either way he'd like to appreciate the scent and maybe try to find out where it was coming from, so he turned his head in search of th-oh.
"Ah," He says, looking a bit of a ways away. There was a girl who seemed to be huffing to herself, walking around in the Tancho uniform. She had ears, but...no tail. Maybe she was hiding it?? Tomoe looks at her skirt and squints, checking for any signs of a tail. It had to be somewhere, right?
