Hi, need with a fic. Its fitzsimmons at the academy and simmons was helping fitz with his major erection that was from some experiment and its smutty and hilarious and i cant remember the author or the title. Also, any smutty "for science!" fic recs?

You might be thinking of @stillnotapepper​‘s Gone Soft, where they’re at the Academy testing an anti-erectile medication and they have to measure the effects.  There are some awkward erections in that.

It could also be @memorizingthedigitsofpi‘s Academy fic An Elaborate Proof, where Simmons is helping Fitz measure the effects of frequent masturbation, or her Season 1 fic What’s Up Doc?  where Fitz has a huge erection due to Lorelei’s influence and Simmons has to help him with it.

There’s a few sex pollen fics that could potentially fit the bill as well, though we don’t believe any of them are set at the Academy.

While we’re sure there must be Academy fics that fit your description more precisely, those are the only results we can think of at the moment!  Good luck!

Oh, I'd lost touch with this story, but I'm so glad to see it again! She could scan his brain as much as she wanted, but she couldn’t repair his mind. That is so perfectly expressed.  Simmons, as much as he loves him, as much as he knows about Fitz AND about the human body, she can't really make him better.  All she can do is wait, basically.  Once again you're really selling me on Simmons' struggle and how difficult it was for her to cope. She used to love experiments. She hated that one. She hated that she was walking around blind, guessing, waiting for his reaction and not knowing if it would be the one she was aiming for. She hated that their communication wasn’t as good as it used to be. And she hated that the rest of the team came to her for guidance before each and every interaction with Fitz. Ugh, really, this whole paragraph is just wonderful.  I love this!  She's so accustomed to being the person with the answers, and because she knows Fitz better than anyone, everyone expects her to have them still, but it's just got to be so horrible to sit there at a loss for what to do, what to say, how to act.  And so when they go in "blind" and decide to give Fitz something to do with his hands, and it just goes horribly -- that's... jeez.  Because Simmons and Coulson feel guilty for thinking this was such a good idea, and Fitz feels like crap because his hands don't work, and nobody knows how to talk to Fitz, and wow, this story is doing a much better job of explaining why the team were all basically ignoring Fitz at the beginning of Season 2 than the show did.  Great stuff.

I had to chose one, but if I could I would copy and paste each and every comment I received from stillnotapepper because they are all brilliant, funny, detailed and making me smile and feel appreciated (I reread them all soooo many times). That’s not all though! She also commented on almost everything I’ve written and usually is the very first person to do so. Not to mention that she’s probably the most supportive person in fandom when it comes to fic writing: commenting on so many fics (I could probably count on one hand fics that I liked that don’t have her comment) and helping with beta reading as well as posting good fic recs. I chose this one comment because I received it when I was still new to writing fics and the “this story is doing a much better job of explaining (…) than the show did.” part was ringing in my head for weeks :)

All in all: thank you stillnotapepper for being the True Queen of Support *hugs*
