A simple act of kindness can be someone's biggest dream. The guy being driven had always wished to ride in a Lambo. That was not the kind of life he would have wished for. What put tears in my eyes and heart is the fact that he would never be able to drive for the rest of his life. He can only just imagine what you and I can freely do. Over 18 years ago, I lived in the a neighborhood where I had this friend (who became like a brother). He was an imbecile. Most people kind of stayed away in a coded way. One day, we were to take a bike from school. Even though such bikes take 2 passengers, I wanted him to take one and I another but the bike man said (paraphrased), 'please lend a hand & ride with him, if you were in his shoes, you would see that it's not easy'. From that day, I became very close. I never saw his disabilities anymore. He was one of the most brilliant people I have ever known. Although he is late now. The years spent together taught me some valuable lessons and experience about such special people. THEY DON'T WANT PITY, THEY JUST CRAVE FOR TRUE FRIENDSHIP. Never let them feel less nor different. Later on in the university, I would eventually be part of Rotaract Club (District 9130) and help several communities including PWD (People with disabilities). I will never forget between 2015-2018, as little as EFEMIR, we would take funds accumulated from my several training seminars, and a staff, Samson and several of my mentees would visit orphanages around Kaduna with beverages, toiletries, etc and also run several trainings. God bless Emmanuel Ajabi, Mike Edwards, Prinz Nathaniel, Taiye, Samson and a few others. Kindness is often inexpensive to you but means everything to such people with special needs. God bless @andypopescuvlogs for his large heart. Lest I forget, God detests when you look down on anybody nor ever imagine that another human being is less than you. If you have such kind of people with special needs in your neighborhood or a foundation/school with such, please be part of their dream come through this week with a random act of kindness.
