"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2 (NIV) • • It is very important that we never think we are totally independent and don't need help from others, and we should never feel excused from the task of helping others, especially as believers. The body of Christ —the church— functions only when everybody works together for the common good. We have such a responsibility to be there for one another, to share in the joy, the highs and the lows, now more than ever! It is a strange and difficult time for many people, still, although it's been well over a year now since the pandemic started. We are all in this together and some of us may face more challenges than others, our families may be broken and our faith literally tested to the brink, but we can lessen the load by carrying each other's burdens. If you know someone who needs help reach out to them, and in the same way if you need help don't be afraid to ask for it. We are here for each other, to carry each other's burdens as Christ literally carried them ALL, for each and every ones of us. Thank God we don't have to carry anything alone. #Grateful #Galations #Chapter6 #Verse2 #CarryEachOthersBurdens #NeverAlone #BeTheChurch #LendAHand #BeOfService #GodsWord #HisGlory #StraightNoChaser https://www.instagram.com/p/CSGh9NmLf8d/?utm_medium=tumblr
My name is Koda and I need hip surgery.
I am a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy. On September 22nd, I was given the harsh news that I have moderate to severe hip dysplasia. In the next few months, I will go through a complete hip replacement surgery which costs $8,000. Can you help me raise the funds for the surgery and recovery process?

Too important to help...
When reading Galatians 6:3, “ If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important,” I thought immediately of the parable of the Good Samaritan,
Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.
“By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side.
“Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’
“Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked.
The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.”
Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
~ Luke 10:30–37
The priest and the Temple assitant thought themselves too important to help and thus Christ Jesus compels us to be as the lowly and despised Samaritan who stopped and helped. How can Christ Jesus command such a response from us? There is this,
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
~ Philippians 2:5-8
