Hi, native Dutch speaker here! c: About your question: 'u' is used like 'vous' and is a pronoun of politeness (it's used differently in dialect forms but I'm assuming you're not getting into that just yet). 'jij' is like 'tu', 'jou' is the object form of the pronoun 'jij', so a bit like 'toi'. And lastly, 'gij' is a dialect form of 'jij'. I hope this helps!
