A while ago I did an appreciation post for S. Coups as Seventeen’s father, (Soon I will upgrade it and focus on him as a leader) and I think it’s time for Kwon Hoshi (?)
Hoshi is someone who works well with people. Usually is joking around and commanding with games and a smile in his face, which is the perfect contrast between dictator Coups and 0 chill Woozi.
He is able to relieve the stress of the group by playing and controlling the situation with a very well placed comment that drives off the anger or confussion. Whenever he gets angry you can feel how the youngers get scared and the olders get a little lost.
When things go crazy and boys start running and shouting, Hoshi keeps an eye on everyone, if he feels that Coups needs him, he automatically controls the kids with even more madness.
Kinda like: okay let’s go crazy but let me be the leader because I know when to stop.
He takes advantage of his craziness and, therefore, he is one of the happy virus of Seventeen. He knows where to act, where to stand and where to shine. He has a joyful personality who makes everyone laugh.
For the youngers he is someone they should take care of. But for the hyungs, he is a reliable member. This happens because Hoshi is, actually, two in one.
Here we have Hoshi, funny leader, full of sexiness and the center of the attention.
And here we have Soonyoung. Sweet and caring leader, spotlight of cuteness. 2nd most bullied member but beloved.
Very beloved.
Woozi loves him too
Coups said that in case he wasn't the leader, it’d be Hoshi because of his charisma. Hoshi is very hard working and his kingdom is the practice room. He’s actually a very focused and strict person when need.
Strict but lovable. Woozi praised his way of teaching, since he helps everyone to improve their dancing skills and takes time to watch if everyone is doing well.
But even though he is great at leading and he can deal well with stress. He is the one that uses “Rock, paper, scissors” for everything, so he knows that he has to let Coups to make the decissions, and whenever that happens, he supports Seungcheol and helps him out.
Since he has a sixth sense to feel stress, when everything is getting fraught, and if he feels the members are running out from energy, he cheers them up in less than a second. Even in stage you can hear how he shouts the loudest.
He is the one that leads Seventeen in their performances. If Hoshi is not there to guide them, they automatically point it out.
He is the one that lifts the mood up.

and the adorable dongsaeng.
The one that deals with the stress of the others and the one that needs the others to de-stress himself. The one that makes it easier for the hyungs and relaxs the maknaes with games and a soft and playful personality.
The one that transmits powerful energy.
The one that helps everyone to keep fighting.
The connection that helps Coups to ensure that everyone is doing well.
