Settle down

Found a home fleetingly

Left it unhesitatingly

People advised me to settle down

So I settled down with this dream of being free

People told to dream of a future

So I dream of a future where

I look back at my past and

Know I lived in the present

Pieces of my soul

Shattered pieces of my soul

Scattered all around the world

Each piece for every time I loved

The smaller ones were given without my notice

The bigger ones were ripped out

But each of them were given willingly

Unlike the ones that were left behind

Parts of us

Some parts of me, 

And some parts of you;

We can see right through.

But the rest of us,

The prettiest parts of us;

Is hidden to ourselves too.

I want to get rid of all the bones

The bones I want to pick

The ones that I can’t let go

And the ones that make my bed
