Hey, this is mod Leperwitch. Today my Tumblr account was terminated due to "Misappropriation of content", meaning I wasn't crediting artists properly by Tumblr's standards.

I do my best as a curator to properly credit content creators, but I guess I wasn't doing it enough. I lost seven years' worth of content and nearly 6,000 followers in an instant.

I'm appealing to get my blog back, but I doubt Tumblr will reinstate it. I would have no interest in remaking my blog if that is the case. Unfortunately, that means I won't be able to mod content here anymore (but I still can on Instagram and Discord).

Thank you so much for your support over the years, and I hope to see you all again soon, fingers crossed.

Hey, just wanted to say that I really appreciate everyone's feedback. I've gotten several messages about this, all with very differing opinions and from people with different backgrounds, and it's good that people are speaking up.

For the foreseeable future, Nico will not be featured here. I want Women of Noise to be a space where people feel good about what's posted, and it's clear that there are some artists that are not going to illicit that response because of who they were as people.

If you want to further discuss this with me, feel free to message my main account. I'm going to continue on with regular content on this blog - there's a lot of goodies in the queue - and I hope y'all enjoy it.

Today in RC Does Shit That Scares Her...

I bought swimwear. No, that's not the scary bit 😝. Y'all may remember that water and I aren't on the greatest of terms, rain aside obvs. I loved to swim back in the day but haven't swam in like 15 years. And even if water didn’t freak me out the rather extreme changes my body has gone thru since 2003 haven't left me all that keen on flashing my flesh about the place. Bikini model I am not 😉. Thank fuck for full body swimsuits. When we were in Lochinver last year there was a hot tub. At our regular place in Northumberland, where we're heading next week, there's a hot tub and a pool. I have steered clear of all of them. There's a hot tub where we're staying right now. I'm fucking going in it. I may even go the whole hog and try the pool next week. In the last year, I've overcome my fear of flying, and I took my thalassaphobic ass on a cruise and enjoyed every minute. Time to slay the next demon.

New camera 😄

Today I got my hands on a Nikon Coolpix P900. It is sweet as fuck, and the optical zoom is as insane as it's hyped up to be. I love my D3200, but between lens costs (a 3rd party super telephoto lense would set me back more than my new camera, and a 'brand' lens runs at four figures. Even used) and having to switch the lenses out on the fly (not to mention carrying the fuckers) it's a matter of expediency really. I'm not a professional and I have no plans to become a professional so I can afford to compromise slightly on kit. Not that there's anything wrong with a bridge camera anyway. Plus it's got GPS and WiFi, and NFC so I can send shit straight to my phone. Only shoots in jpeg but I'm so behind on processing my other pics that I can put up with the lack of RAW. Anyways. We're off to Edinburgh today. FINALLY. Only taken 3 years 😝. Time to try this baby out.
