Notes on Music: Chromatica
The gates of Chromatica have welcomed us home! Praise Be to Lord Gaga.
When I wasn’t dancing or contemplating the symphonic interludes, these are the notes I felt compelled to jot down.
-Chromatica II, absolutely beautiful
-911 what a bop. “My biggest enemy is me”
-Thank God for K Pop
-“The scars on my mind are on replay” sounds like a Halloween disco. It’s scary and equally tantalizing. A glitzy psychedelic house of horrors.
-oh BOY!!, Chromatica III
-...and then Elton John. And the song of adulthood dawning. Immortality swallowed. And it devolves into a celebration of life (see also: dance party)
-serve it ancient city style!!! What a look.
Album Highlights:
chromatica II into 911
SINE for a real emotional effervescent dance
REPLAY, also difficult narrative over A REAL JAM
