what is the frightening ghoul like?
Listen, I’m just the translator.
It’s like asking someone who speaks both English and French what (random French guy) is like.

It's subtle, but Gaston acts exactly as spoiled, selfish and unkind as the Beast did in the past. Unlike the Beast, Gaston learnt nothing of his cruel, narcissistic nature.
True!
You need to {{cs}}. Because you ain’t[1] making any cents[a].

I understand none of these words in the order they were placed.

“Why are you bringing forth our ancient secrets?”
Because I can.
One thing that I noticed while listening to the soundtrack is that Mufasa seems to be a lot less experience than Taka at specific lion things.
During the I've always wanted a brother number it seems like he's trying to hunt prey but ends up screwing up which causes Taka to playfully tease him.
I also really like how Taka innocently arrogant but it seems like the cruelty of the Savannah seemingly shapes him to being the scar that we do in the 1994 movie.
I kind of love how they end up seemingly learning completely different lessons from the same journey.
I haven't actually seen the movie but it seems like that could be where it's heading
I’m curious where in the song you heard some of that. Is it during the part where it sounds like Mufasa is saying “gotta find a way, find our prey?” I sort of took that as both of them running around, practicing. Because then it sounds like the choir of animals sing, “did your mama say you could learn this way?”
I think “innocently arrogant” is a good way to describe the Taka characterization though. I don’t think it’ll be cruelty-of-the-Savannah that will shape Taka into Scar. I think, if that first song is any indication, it’ll be something about his relationship with Mufasa that’ll set it off. Because why set up such a “do anything for my brother / now we look out for each other,” relationship if not to tear it down later?
I don’t know what lessons they’ll be learning. Because Taka seems to need to learn that he can’t control everything (in a bossy, the-world-revolves-around-me sort of way) but I couldn’t tell exactly what Mufasa was struggling with from that one song. Something to do with missing his real parents? Hard to tell.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.
