I know your sneaky ass put some symbolism in the new master-list for Baby..... I can't prove it BUT I KNOW! As you would say, "I feel it in my girl balls"‼️It feels like nothingggg in this series is accidental. I feel like a detective searching for clues.
NOT YOU USING MY OWN QUOTE AGAINST ME 😭😭 and being right too...
so there's only a couple things cause it's a masterlist how much can you actually hide in it kkkkk
1) seonghwa is behind a window in the main banner. so much fucking symbolism in this i'm just gonna rattle them off bow bow bow-
overall, viewing someone through a window or glass is sort of saying we have an obscured vision or perception
i'm not religious but there's a quote in the bible "through the glass darkly" when describing how humans have finite knowledge of god/spiritual matters in general. in this case, seonghwa being "god", and baby doesn't have the full knowledge of what he's capable of (especially in the beginning)
"through the looking glass" like alice in wonderland. seonghwa has a distorted version of how he views baby, and the world at large; like hes looking through the glass to another world
in this specific picture, you can see some trees in the reflection. the outside world and seonghwa are completely separate; in so many ways
2) this quote from "Serendipity" (the first chapter) at the end of the masterlist
it's the one that seals her fate essentially. hwa accidentally slips up and calls her baby early in their relationship and she says it's okay- he takes it further than what she means. she means "it's okay to call me baby" but he takes it as more than that (as he always does, because he's delusional)
3) the quote that started it all, in the original "Baby"
paired with baby's tent, which she had a "baby only" policy placed on — until after the meltdown and spanking, when she invites him in despite literally everything and "proves" that she's always going to be his (ie, she's wayyyyy in the depths of stockholm syndrome)
