Message to the nonbelievers of justice. And also to the ones that are privileged every single day, meaning you have never been racially profiled, or haven't had people feel threatened just by the presence of your skin color. As I sat here contemplating the message that I wanted to portray on this post, the first thing that popped into my head was the guy that worked in the donut shop that I stopped off at this morning. The news was covering the Eric Garner case. The man in the donut shop went on to saying, "idk, when the cops tell you to do something, you just have to do it" and I thought, well the man was unarmed, did not seem to be aggressive, and even complied to the orders, but that did not stop them from using overly-excessive force. Some people feel guilty talking about this, or even threatened because of it being such a touchy subject. I thought to myself, this doesn't directly affect this man, and that is why he doesn't seem to see what's been covered on American media lately. Let me ask you all a few questions: Do you think that a man that killed a police dog who got 35 years in prison, deserves it? when these "promoters of justice" walk away with nothing from killing human beings in the fashion that they do. And secondly, some of you see things in the streets and pull out your phones to record videos. So what are we to do when there is video proof of a wrongful action being committed by an officer, and it still isn't enough evidence for justice? Some people are so comfortable with their daily routines, that this would be a big change in thinking for some. What if I told you that it was all of our fault that things are fucked up the way they are right now? Most will reply with, "I didn't make any of this happen.
