So today I started reading this new fanfic and OMG, this was freaking awesome. Somehow this is a creepy crossover between FMA and wonderland? And it just... somehow works?? I can’t even explain it, please read this.

All at once, the images of wandering through the maze, trapped and alone flooded through my mind. I could swear that my pulse and my breathing sped up for a moment as I remembered frantically trying to find my way out of the place. How had I gotten out? Or had I? Where even was I?
I snapped out of my reverie with a literal snap. Rabbit-man was snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Look," he said, "If you want to command legions of dishes to do your bidding, I won't interfere with your dreams. But I was very much enjoying the dream I was having, so please at least try to keep the screams down when the dishes inevitably revolt."
That got my attention, and I turned and glared at Rabbit-man. "Inevitably? What makes you think I couldn't be an absolutely fantastic dish overlord?"
Rabbit-man responded by taking a sip of his tea. I hadn't realized he'd had tea until that moment, but apparently he'd had tea with him all this time. I hoped he hadn't been sleeping with his nose in that teacup, but I wouldn't have put it past him.
"Come on," I said, banging my fist on the table and shattering the dirty teacup that had started the whole mess. "What makes you think that there would be an inevitable dish revolt?"
"Hmmm..." said Rabbit-man as he glanced at my automail arm that had committed the atrocity. "Well, I can definitely say that you rule with an iron hand."

So this amazing writer just posted their first Ao3 fic after I pushed them repeatedly to join the site, and this is just so good and beautifully written I can’t stand it. It absolutely needs more attention! It’s just such a pretty exploration through an artist’s mind.
Summary: After all is said and done, Ed finally gets a moment to catch his breath as he plays his mother's old piano once again. The synaesthetic colors he always perceives from his music never fail to cheer him up.

Aaaaw. Peaceful transitions to #WalterScott, co-founding member of the legendary #Soul/#RnB group @themightywhispers. They gave us so many songs that are a part of my life's soundtrack. I last saw them perform live July 4, 2024, when they opened for the great #FrankieBeverly with Maze on his "I Wanna Thank You Farewell Tour" stop in Philadelphia. Now, with Walter and Frankie's passings, that concert experience memory is even more treasured. (Thanks for rolling with me @jodinedorce.)
Sending so much love to Walter's twin brother/group co-founder Wallace ("Scotty"). Dang y'all - I'm gonna play the Whispers all day today.

He passed away surrounded by his family in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The Whispers extensive catalog includes “And the Beat Goes On,” “Rock Steady,” “It’s a Love Thing,” “Lady, “Love is Where You Find It,” and “Love at Its Best.”
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Walter and Scotty moved to Los Angeles with their family in 1959. They started singing while attending Jordan High School and in 1964, The Whispers were formed, according to a Sentinel interview with Walter and Scotty in 2017.
A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, Walter served as a signaleer during the Vietnam War. Upon his return in 1969, he rejoined his brother in The Whispers... In 1980, the group really took off and released several gold and platinum hits.

The passing of twin Walter Scott truly has me shocked. The Whispers have blessed us with SO many hits and gems down through the years that will last a lifetime!! They’ve been one of my favorite groups since I was 14 years old, so this is hitting me on a deep level.
Continue to pray for Walter’s loved ones, his peers, and the last two Whispers standing: Leaveil Degree and Walter’s twin brother, Wallace (better known as SCOTTY).
