THE BEST ALBUMS OF 2014

1) NOTHING - GUILTY OF EVERYTHING

This one was a no brainer. Been obsessing over this band since I first saw them opening for Whirr in 2013. At that point I'd never heard of them and they absolutely left a huge impression. Grounded in 90s American and British indie tradition, Nothing makes most aggressive, shoegaze-based noise I've ever heard.

Yeah we have another 5 years left years left in the "teens" (what do you call this decade any ways?) but this one is certain to make it to the top of my decade-ending list.

Here's to hoping there's something coming to knock it out of the top cos said album would be pretty damn near perfect.
