all the best characters are on a strict diet of cigarette and pussy
Does anybody ever feel like whoever is responsibe for drawing backgrounds struggles with perspective?
I mean, It’s not the wost case, but for simplicity’s sake, let’s take the kitchen:
“Looks like 1 point perspective you studied in middle school, right? Smthg’s off, but still good.“
(green line) ”I guess the horizon is here then.”
“Uh?“
“Wait, other things go there as well?“
Not mentioning the weird foreshortening on chairs, but it’s a consistent thing for round surfaces.
I’ve never been particulary good at perspective and... all this (академическое построение), but I feel dizzy looking at rooms like bathroom and Beliath’s room.
What really baffles me is that sometimes there’s the lovely details and light that I adore:
But on the same very image, a row of books just fails:
And nobody seems to talk about it, even though Eldarya’s backgrounds aren’t doing this, so we know beemoov can do better for a fact.
“Sweetie, Mommy’s got to go. I just got a new toy in for Debbie and I can’t wait to play with it.”
Lou chokes on her coffee, and almost drops the mug she’s holding to boot. Tammy looks around, her concern fading into a sly grin as she understands what happened.
“Sorry,” says, though she doesn’t look it. “I meant it literally. No innuendo at all.”
Lou steps closer, still trying to calm her gag reflex. “No,” she says. “I mean...I know. It was...unexpected.”
Tammy isn’t paying attention anymore. She really is totally engrossed in the giant box that was just delivered to the loft.
“Will you help me?” she asks, producing a crowbar out of nowhere. “It’s a 3D printer. The best I’ve had the privilege to work-”
She breaks off, looking at Lou with narrowed eyes. “What?” she asks.
Lou gives her head a little shake, making sure her hair is properly through her eyes. “You and Debbie,” she says vaguely.
Tammy’s mouth quirks up. “Yeah,” she says. “Me and Debbie. A lifetime ago.”
“Oh,” Lou says. But she’s seen them flirt. She’s seen how close together they sit during briefings. She heard Debbie tell Tammy about her time with Claude, open and honest and barely sarcastic at all.
“So your marriage,” Lou says after a long couple of beats.
Tammy blows some of her own hair out of her eyes and buries the sharp end of the crowbar into the side of the box once more.
“Perfectly happy,” she answers.
“So you wouldn’t...if she asked?”
Now Tammy does turn to face her completely. “No,” she says, looking Lou right in the eye.
“And she...wouldn’t ask?”
Tammy smiles a real genuine thing. “That I can’t tell you,” she says. “She hasn’t if that’s a consolation.” she looks hard at Lou. “She’s really got you, hasn’t she.”
Lou only nods. “Don’t tell her,” she says.
Tammy turns back to the 3D printer. She gives the crowbar a mighty swing.
“Our little secret.”

Did anyone else notice?
When Dirk had the hat on in "Shapes and Colors", he was all like "I don't want this hat." but when it was taken off, he frowned like a child. Like he was actually sad about getting the hat that he didn't seem to like stolen from him.
