Send me a ☁ and I’ll write a scene from my character’s past
Two brown eyes peeked eagerly into the oven before turning up to look at the girl’s mother expectedly. “Is it done? Is it done?” Little Clara asked biting her lip and looking up hopefully. It was the first souffle her mother had ever allowed her to make. She was doing her best not to get over excited and do something causing the souffle to fall, but she was proud that her mother finally deemed her ready to start helping in the kitchen.
Ellie laughed and gave her head a little shake. "Not quite yet, love. You just have to be patient. If you rush it then it won't come out right." She told her daugher squatting down to the girl's height. "How about we tidy up the kitchen while the souffle finishes up? That way it'll be done before you know it." Clara consented and dried the dishes and cooking utensils her mother handed her as well as helped scrub down the counter with as much strength as her little arms could muster. Her mother was right--like she always was--and the time flew by and soon enough the time announced the souffle was done.
Clara held her breath as her mother withdrew the masterpiece from the oven. She waited until her mum had set the souffle down before giving her mum a big toothy grin. "It's perfect."
Her mother ruffled her hair and looked proudly down at her little baker,"That it is my souffle girl."
