It had been a long week, torturously so, and it was only Wednesday. Hayden had gone radio silent on almost everyone in her life since the previous weekend, save for a small exclusive list of people. Mikah being one of them. She needed a break, from campus, from her own mind, from everything. With her iPhone in hand, the brunette took a seat on the stoop outside of his fraternity house, thumbing through her contacts until she landed on his name. Since reconnecting with him, Hayden had been playing their time together over and over. It had been so simple, so lovely, and she wanted that again. Selfishly so. There was a moment of unfamiliar hesitation that washed over her as she fingertip hovered over the contact screen of her phone and then she was up, shoving her phone deep in her back pocket and waltzing into his fraternity. “Hey, do you know where Mikah’s room is?” She asked the closest frat member who happily pointed her in the right direction. Once outside his room, Hayden knocked twice and leaned her hip against the doorframe while she waited- hoping he was actually there.
