((Quick OOC post to say hello!! I’m sure you all know by now what the deal is with the sudden long absences so uh, I won’t go into it. I’m... quite happy to see that so many people stuck around despite zero content for like 3 months.
And speaking of, holy FUCK, this blog reached and surpassed 1000 followers!! I really wanted to make something nice for 1000 but uh... that didn’t happen. Not to mention the blog had its one year anniversary on the 1st so I missed that too LOL. I’m crying at my desk.
To start off I just want to thank all of you once again for your patience and continued interest. Every like, reblog, ask, and nice tag genuinely means a lot to me. I’m humbled by how many nice comments I get, and while I may not publish them, I save a screenshot of every message I get that compliments the blog/art directly. Now the real point of this post is the subject of Shadow Marx!
SMarx is a really old FC I originally made when I was 11 or 12 (I’m 25 now) and he’s been really special to me for a long time, I mean even as my interest in Kirby lessened dramatically in the time between then and now he was still an important boy, I even turned him into a full OC, etc.
Anyway what I’m getting to here is that when I started this blog I was immediately excited to get asks about Marx and to introduce SMarx, because he’s dear to me and I was excited about getting to use him again. I wanted his introduction and backstory posts to be special, which is why the whole thing was so big and took so long.
I hope you can imagine how happy it makes me that he received such a positive response, something I was actually anxious about because I really hoped everyone would like him, lol. So thank you for being so warm and nice, making me smile, and making little me jump with joy for liking my dumb fan character.
(All that said, boy am I fucking excited to get back to regular asks for a while lol)
To finish this off I wanted to share an old pic of him and SK that I drew way back in the day. His design changed a lot, but he always had a sort of monochrome theme going on.
((A couple hours, if/once I actually have the energy to do it. Depression and executive dysfunction get in the way though, with the past several months being really hard for me, which is why updates take so long. I wish I could be more active more consistently, because this dumb blog and its characters are important to me, but alas…))
