Today ended up being one of the greatest days I have ever lived to see. Which makes me glad that I've chosen life. This is (some of) my family. I was lucky enough to not have to be at work until after the fact of the no-clipse. Hannah and Q with their model selves, Shorty shooting a silly face, Pete candidly waving at the right moment, Jess smiling in her adorably awkward way, the back of Sean's head, Victor glancing over at the right moment. Moments after Devon took this photo she called Petsmart to see if they'd be open during the eclipse because her hamsters needed food. Colleen was playing in the rain, having fun, living life. Seeing momma bear play in puddles made something click in my head; life's too short. Who cares that it was pouring? We made the best out of what we had, with each other's presence. We ate food, sipped on some drinks and enjoyed each others company. And that's why I call them my family. We may discuss whatever the hell happened that night with backstories, but we're always talking about ideas and what we think life is. They make me think. They make me happy. And I love everyone pictured here, including those that are not. Some were on the back porch, some were upstairs, some couldn't make it because, come on, food and bev has no mercy. This is who I am. And I can truly say I have become a better person because of these humans. Everyone deserves to have people in their lives that can make them ecstatic just by seeing their grins. I'm stupid fucking lucky. #notmyeclipse 🤗
