I don't think they are close rn per se. Chen appreciates all Yixing has done for him, and is comforted by his presence. Yixing as of rn is just concerned with getting Chen healthy again. He is protective over Chen because he has spent a lot of time and energy trying to help him. Also Yixing just has a kind heart.

ARGH ELA I HAD TWO QUESTIONS BUT THE RUUUULES :'| um you can have 1) why did baekhyun choose to reach out to suho, out of everyone in the room, during the meeting in ch12 where the elders were like HEAD SHIFTERS GO KILL THE PHOENIX!!!!! i doubt they knew each other previously considering baekhyuns rank in society, so is it just bcos suho is nicer than the others? :'|

Actually Suho had met Baekhyun previously. Out of all the Head Shifters, he is the only one that isn't really a figurehead? The Water Nation actually has him in charge of shit, he has a lot of responsibilities. He's the only Head Shifter that is sent travelling to the other nations with any frequency. So he's met Chanyeol before, and Baekhyun. He isn't close to them per se, but out of all the Head Shifters (besides Chanyeol obvs), Baekhyun knows him best. And also through the course of the fic Suho has been the only one really talking to Baek. Kyungsoo has put in some effort, and Baek shies away from Tao a bit.

So yeah Baek reached out to Suho because he knows Suho, and knows he wouldn't be okay with this. He was just desperate for anyone to be on his side.

lmao someone actually suggested that way back when we were trying to figure out if anyone would even want a FAQ. I can tell you rn that if this is included in the FAQ it will be a very brief version :| as Rara has expressed a desire to actually write a baekyeol backstory, but is unsure if she will ever have the time to do so.
