I failed you and I know that no amount of apologies can make up for that. I'm sorry I never reached out like I promised I would, I'm sorry I didn't stay by your side like I always pledged I would. I still see you in the wildflowers outside of my house, in the bugs that manage to get into the office. I let every single one back outside because I know you'd scream if I tried to kill them. I see you in the leaves that fall from trees in the fall when we used to jump into the piles together.

Your dad and his new partner are doing better now I think, I don't think he'll ever recover from what happened, but he's healing slowly. The last time I saw your sister she had some friends who seemed nice so I think she's doing better now too.
