Bac Son Valley in the north of Vietnam

Bac Son Valley is located about 70 km from Lang Son town. It is not so easy to get there from Hanoi, the best way is to travel by train/bus to Lang Son and in Lang Son you can travel by motorbike on your own. The scenic hilly landscape, where some hills reach an altitude of up to 1,200 meters above sea level. The area is inhabited by Tay ethnic group and you can see their typical houses on stilts. Most interesting, however, is from October to November, when gradually the rice harvest and the area is colored in golden color.

Minh Chau beach in Quan Lan Island

Quan Lan Island – it is the one of the a bit remoted islands in northern Vietnam. Quan Lan Island is about 70 km from Ha Long city and about 30 km from Cai Rong. Quan Lan has very nice beaches for relaxing at the sea. This island is not so visited by foreign tourists and travelers, mainly Vietnamese visit this island. But it is possible, that more and more tourists will come in the near future, because somewhere in Van Don (Cai Rong) will be opened in December 2018 a new international airport.

Tea plantations in Moc Chau

Moc Chau (Mộc Châu) is a district of Son La province and its capital is of the same name. It is a large mountainous and hilly region. It lies about 200 km from Hanoi to the west at an altitude of 1,050 m. It’s a very good stop between Son La city and Mai Chau city. If you come here, I recommend you stay a while in this beautiful area of tea plantations,flowering fruit trees and flowers.

Statue of Ho Chi Minh in Lai Chau

Lai Chau - it is not so visited part of the norh of Vietnam, it is good to know it. No foreign tourists in the city. In the center of the town (at the square) you will see this big statue of Ho Chi Minh leader. There was nobody in the evening.
