NEW "TEN FOR TUESDAY" CHALLENGE!
Happy Tuesday, sisters! The hard-working womyn of the Land Committee welcome you to a new type of fundraiser for WWTLC: TEN FOR TUESDAY, PUTTING THE “FUN” BACK IN FUNDRAISING!
For our first Ten for Tuesday (starting February 12, ending May 11), let’s consider electric supply. In addition to lighting and other mechanical needs, for many womyn electric supply is essential for the air we breathe while snuggling up in our tents and RVs. So let's pass the hat and toss in a 10-spot (or more) to support getting lights - and for all of our sisters who need electricity on the land for CPAPs and scooters, or fresh batteries to support essentials like cell phones or personal massage devices. Ahem.
Please understand: WWTLC is starting nearly from scratch on most of our infrastructure. This year’s electric budget (to get a modest amount of juice for the events) is just under $10,000. That’s a lot of 10s, but we are confident that with your help, many tiny 10s will equal the extra zeros in no time! 1000 of us giving $10 will do it; 500 of us giving $20 will do it. To add to the FUNdraising FUN, please comment below to honor someone special to you: your loving wife sleeping soundly with the CPAP, your favorite auntie rocking the land in her fully juiced scooter, anyone (alive or gone) who simply makes you smile thinking of The Land.
