This Lycopodium squarrosum (Huperzia) with common names of club moss and rock tassel fern 🌿 is one of my favorite plants 💚 and also probably the most expensive 💲 plant I have. This is the second one I've had. The first one in a 6" basket, cost about $40 and was quite large. I put it in my sunroom and on a hot day it dried out and expired. It obviously didn't take one day to dry out, but it was a long time ago and I had teenagers and was busy.🤪.... so I purchased this one a few years ago and it was one small stem about 6-7" tall for 17$ in a 4" pot. It has grown into this big plant which I can't get into the frame. If you swipe to the next pictures you can see new growth. I tell my husband when I'm gone for an extended time, this is the plant to NEVER let dry out. It isn't a fern at all, but a fern ally yet does reproduce by spores. In its natural habitat it is an epiphyte, dangling from tree tops. Definitely a cool plant. . . #notreallyafern #dontletitgetdry #notacheapplant #houseplantguru #houseplantsrock #urbanjungle #whoneedsflowers #house_plant_community #greenyourfeed #plantsmakepeoplehappy #bhghome #apartmenttherapy #crazyplantlady #houseplantseverywhere https://www.instagram.com/p/B_GjLcWgQoO/?igshid=d8u7jmaxund5
