*knocks over a wrench with their paw* meow (hey piggy)
“What the f--” That’s a cat. Like, a housecat. In her place. In the fog. So suffice it to say she has questions.

A black crow flies in through the window, there seems to be something tied around its neck. It’s a package addressed to... Frank!
... what is this, another glitter bomb-?

Sam may not be a super cuddly person, and may not be great with all animals, but cats are her people. And finding any living animal in the fog is rare.
She shouldn’t feel as hopeful as she does upon seeing the creature, but that’s just how it is. Sandwiching her lips between her teeth, she reaches her hand out cautiously, offering it for the animal’s approval before making any attempt to pet.
Part of her doesn’t want to see as eager as she is for some reason. Maybe just cause cats can be assholes (she doesn’t hold it against them; she can be, too). But she really really could use a little casual uncomplicated affection, and animals are good for that.
“You smell like a dog”, says the cat at your feet
"I-I do..?" She quickly glances at her hands to make sure they're normal before suddenly realizing that a cat was speaking to her. It shouldn't be that shocking, since they were in a realm that defied all rules she knew, but it still startled Echo.
A little marbled cat strolls through the resort, bringing in something in its mouth. It looks like a note!
"Ah shit, we got another one'ere," Frank crouched down and plucked the note from the cats mouth carefully.
*proceeds to bother you at an ungodly hour, threatening to knock over your microphone from its stand with their little paws in this form*
Jude jumped slightly when the cat came into view. He looked at it for a moment before scooping it up so it couldn't knock his things over. “Now what are you doing out here?” He asks, expecting no answer. Carefully he sets the cat onto his lap. “..I haven't seen cats here before. Nicer than vultures I guess..”
*drops a dead rat in front of you* mrrrow (for you)
She glances down at the “gift” and inhales sharply before backing up a pace. A... dead rat. Quietly she gulped down any disgust she had previously and instead smiled nervously at the cat. “Ah... thank you. You... really... shouldn’t have.”
“You and I... we aren’t so different, no?”

“I suppose that all depends on what you’re comparing us by. If it’s by our making that you’re thinking, well... we’re worlds apart in that regard.”
“Buuuuut, that said if you’re just looking at us on the surface, well, I guess we are a bit alike. Though... your abilities are adequate but immatured. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; it just means you still need time to perfect your craft. Even I wasn’t splitting hairs when I first crawled from the void. Give yourself time and it’ll come, rest assured.”
