Happy Lists
A tip for those who feel low or lack motivation or just want to actually write something down and allow themselves to feel. Seriously, give it a go.
Grab a piece of paper, any piece of paper. You can do this on your phone or computer but personally, I recommend actually writing it down on paper.
Make a list of things that make you happy. Fill the page, draw some doodles if you wish, make the bullets into stars, whatever you like. You don’t have to show anyone. The things can be as ‘stupid’ as you like. Aim to write at least 10 things.
Read through your list and don’t judge yourself, just let yourself smile at everything you see written in front of you.
Every so often, have a little look at that list and let a little bubble of happiness into your brain. I suggest making a new list every month or two and occasionally comparing your lists to your previous lists to remind you that you’ve changed. There are many things that make you happy. Looking at that list you made last time, there’s something that still makes you happy but you forgot to write this time.
Let yourself be happy.
